Obiettivo

The objective of this research project is to identify new low-alloy steel compositions, process conditions and plant modifications needed to produce wire rod with superior drawability and cold formability. Consideration is given to commercially available and specifically produced low-alloy steels containing between 0,05 and 0,25 C and various amounts of alloy elements such as Mn, Si, Cr and B.
