Deliverable Protein study reportDelivered by EPFLIn deliverable 16 the groups of EPFL assisted by FORTH will develop a hybrid SPRVCD setup for the study of chiral protein monolayers hus the current deliverable 17 consists in using this hybrid device and SPR to perform such studies in controlled samples provided by UOC
Year 2 progress reportDeliverable Year 2 report Delivered by FORTHThe ULTRACHIRAL Year 2 progress report will discuss the projects progress and the deliverables programmed for the second year in particularD06 Workshop year 2D74 Market analysis
Kick-off meeting reportIn this deliverable we will report on the proceedings of the Kick-off meeting. In the Kick-off meeting, the participants will be updated with the latest developments of the CCP technology, as well as of the WGMM, SPR and other technologies which are considered throughout ULTRACHIRAL. Based on this information, a detailed road-map for the project will be formed.
Chiral emissions reportDeliverable Chiral emission studies reportDelivered by MPGThe portable standalone CCP prototype developed by JGU will be used by the MPG group to perform field studies of chiral emissions It is possible that the device will allow studying chiral emissions from single trees in a insitu and timedependent fashion which can be used to correlate the chiral emissions with external factors such as light changes infestation and more The MPG group is preparing a permanent GCTOFMS station for ecology studies in the Amazon rainforest and it is possible that our CCP prototype can be added to perform studies of chiral emissions
Year 2 Workshop reportDeliverable Year 2 ULTRACHIRAL workshop report Delivered by FORTHThe report will contain the workshops proceedings and reviews of the coursestalks
Chiral surfacesDeliverable Study of chiral surfaces reportDelivered by UOXFThe team from University of Crete UOC has a long experience in the preparation and characterization of functionalized surfaces Chiral characterization of such samples however is not possible since the weak signals nrad are out of reach for the current stateoftheart In this deliverable 18 the UOC group will create functionalized chiral surfaces and the UOXF group will characterize them using the CCP methods discussed throughout ULTRACHIRAL
High sensitivity body-fluid measurementsDeliverable High sensitivity body fluid measurements reportDelivered by UOCThe ability to perform chiral analysis in microscopic quantities demonstrated in deliverable 20 will be used to perform ultrasensitive chirality studies in body fluidstissues In deliverable 20 a sensitivity of 1ngml is targeted which will be enough to analyse and detect chiral drug traces in blood and other body fluids andor tissue
Year 1 progress reportDeliverable: Year 1 report. Delivered by: FORTH. The ULTRACHIRAL Year 1 progress report will discuss the project's progress and the deliverables programmed for the first year, in particular: D7.1) Social network integration D7.2) Data Management Plan D1.1) Fast DAQ system D1.2) CCP detection limit D7.3) Project website
CCP with HPLCDeliverable Combination of CCP with HPLC reportDelivered by UOCThe HPLC method is a widespread tool for modern analytical chemistry and medicine HPLC can perform stoichiometric analysis in solution without however being able to distinguish between two enantiomers of a chiral substance In this deliverable we will investigate the incorporation of a CCP device to an HPLC device with the aim to perform stoichiometric and chiral analysis simultaneously a step which will be important in the process of commercialization of the CCP technology
Year 4 Workshop reportDeliverable Year 4 ULTRACHIRAL workshop report Delivered by FORTHThe report will contain the workshops proceedings and reviews of the coursestalks
Year 4 progress reportDeliverable Year 4 report Delivered by FORTHThe ULTRACHIRAL Year 4 progress report will discuss the projects progress and the deliverables programmed for the fourth year in particularD08 Workshop year 4D22 WGMM based CCPD32 Protein structure studyD43 CCP with HPLCD52 Chiral analysis in body fluidstissuesD63 Study of chiral emmissions
Year 3 Workshop reportDeliverable Year 3 ULTRACHIRAL workshop report Delivered by FORTHThe report will contain the workshops proceedings and reviews of the coursestalks
Year 3 progress reportDeliverable Year 3 report Delivered by FORTHThe ULTRACHIRAL Year 3 progress report will discuss the projects progress and the deliverables programmed for the third year in particularD07 Workshop year 3D31 CCPVCD set upD41 chiral surfacesD51 Micro sample analysisD61 Portable CCP prototype
Micro-sample analysisDeliverable Microsample analysis reportDelivered by UOCThe sensitivity enhancement offered by the CCP methods discussed in ULTRACHIRAL allow chiral characterization in a smaller scale which is very relevant for biological medical and forensic applications In this deliverable we will demonstrate this capability by incorporating a custom microfluidic cell constructed by UOXF to a CCP setup The targeted sensitivity is close to 1ngml
Deliverable International ConferenceDelivered by FORTHTowards the end of the project we will organize an International Conference where the main results of the project will be presented The aim is to advertise the use of these methods to various specific scientific and technical fields therefore the invited speakers will come from those targeted specialties while a strong industrial presence will also be pursued
Deliverable: Social networks integration (websites). Delivered by: FORTH. Social networks integration will be carried out by FORTH, which will develop a strong ULTRACHIRAL presence in networks such as LinkedIn, ResearchGate and more.
Project websiteDeliverable: Project website. Delivered by: FORTH. The FORTH group will construct a website for ULTRACHIRAL which will be linked to the member's social network profiles and participating intitute's webpages.
Deliverable Portable CCP prototypeDelivered by JGUThe CCP method incorporates a series of signal reversals which allow backgroundfree chiral detection without the need to remove the chiral sample This characteristic make the CCP method particularly suitable for field studies where the sample removal is either difficult or impossible Thus in this deliverable the JGU group will develop and test a standalone portable prototype which will be used for field studies of chiral emissions see deliverable 23
Deliverable Updated Data Management Plan ORDPDelivered by FORTHThe Data Management Plan DMP related to deliverable 26 is a live document which will be updated throughout the duration of ULTRACHIRAL In the end of the project an Updated Data Management Plan will be formed with all public information of the products of the project publications patents demonstrations and conferencesworkshops
Data Management PlanDeliverable: Data Management Plan (ORDP). Delivered by: FORTH. This deliverable is related to the preparation of a Data Management Plan (DMP) for the ULTRACHIRAL project. The DMP will target digital curation of data. Access to all data will be possible for the consortium members. The results will be accessed to a larger audience as follows (open access at repository to be determined through openAIRE): ‘Green’ open access to publications (arXiv e-print archive or similar), and ‘Gold’ open access to selected publications (via budget appropriation).
