Resultado final
Metallic textured surfaces will be developed with chemical etching techniques. This is the intermediate version of the final Deliverable D1.2.
Fabrication (polymeric interfaces)A thick (>300 nm) polymeric coating will be deposited on a flat metal surface with spray. After the deposition, a plasma nanotexturing step followed by a plasma deposition step of a hydrophobic coating will be performed to create the desired morphology on the condenser.
Fabrication (composite interfaces) - finalHydrophobic polymer binder matrices will be filled with 2D thermally conductive materials such as graphene, MoS2 along with ultra-long carbon nanotubes. This is the final version of the intermediate Deliverable D1.3.
Setup for distillation experiments intermediate - intermediateA setup will be developed by MPIP which will evaluate the membrane distillation efficiency and dynamics of all developed surfaces. This is the intermediate version of the final Deliverable D3.4.

Heat transfer and robustnessThe best candidate heat transfer materials will be screened via performing durability and aging tests
Fabrication (metallic textures) - finalMetallic textured surfaces will be developed with chemical etching techniques. This is the final version of the interim Deliverable D1.1
Fabrication (chemical coating)A superhydrophobic chemical coating will be applied in the internal part of capillaries by flow-through methods. Solution processed particle suspensions and MOF dispersions will be employed for this flow-through coating approach.
Enhanced heat transferThe heat transfer performance of all the developed materials for dropwise condensation will be evaluated in custom condensation setups.
Documents for Reviewers
Design of measurement protocolPrevious analytical models, simulation studies and experimental work will be used by all partners to define preliminary design rules for optimal submicron hierarchical morphologies needed for each application.
Validated framework for DWCA modelling framework previously used for studying wetting transitions without phase-change will be suitably modified. The shape of the droplet during DWC and the pertinent heat flux to the solid substrate will be calculated.
7 high impact factor papers concerning the different topics of the project will be published
For the scientific community the dissemination will include the organization of at least one and preferably two workshops in international conferences related to the project activities
Patent applicationsBefore dissemination of the project results those of commercial merit will be protected This will be done through patents filed by partners in their country and to EPO with priority from their country filing within the life of this project At least one but most probably several patents are targeted
