Assistere le start-up nelle presentazioni per gli investimenti
Nel mondo degli affari, un elevator pitch può far nascere o morire una start-up. Si tratta di fare la giusta prima impressione e suscitare interesse nell’azienda, raccogliendo fondi dagli investitori: non è facile. Questo è il motivo per cui il progetto InReady, finanziato dall’UE, organizzerà eventi di matchmaking fra imprese e investitori in cui le start-up possono incontrare questi ultimi, presentare le loro idee imprenditoriali e attrarre finanziamenti per la società attraverso grandi capacità di presentazione («pitching»). Poiché la concorrenza è molto elevata, le imprese devono prepararsi in modo esauriente per tali incontri. Per assistere le start-up, i partner del progetto intendono progettare un nuovo servizio per verificare la preparazione delle aziende e proporre un piano d’azione per i miglioramenti.
Obiettivo
The one of the main challenges for the start-ups is the lack of funding for their business ideas. And this situation forces them to seek funding from private sources and especially venture capital (VC) funds. Thus, start-ups seek to participate in Business to Investor (B2I) matchmaking events where they can meet investors and have the opportunity to present their business ideas and attract funding for their company through great presentation (“pitching”). Since the competition is very high, companies must prepare exhaustively their presence in such meetings. Start-ups tend to forget to present the important parts of the Executive summary, the presentation is missing crucial data, “elevator pitch” focuses on the wrong matters. Moreover, they need guidance from experienced consultants on how to present themselves better.
To assist the start-ups, project partners aim to design a new service to facilitate investment readiness utilizing a new webtool for checking the company’s readiness and proposing an action plan for improvements.
