The Energy Community Toolkit

The deliverable is a online platfrom: the COMPILE Energy Community Toolkit (C-ECT) - which will bring together all the elements of the COMPILE Toolkit related to community management, and the development of EnCs. This toolkit will include new versions of documents produced by REScoop.eu and its partners, as part of various research project. Those documents will be also rationalized and integrated into a comprehensive toolbox. Related task: 5.2 and 4.1, includes Best Practice Report, Technical Tool Implementation Guide, Financing Guide and a Stakeholder Engagement Guide.

In this deliverable business model archetypes for energy communities looking at the potential users as well as the value proposition value chain and the profit model will be presented It will also include the selection of business models that suit best to the actual local conditions for each demonstration siteThe deliverable is related to the work done in task T72

Roadmap for EnC creation in Rafina

Roadmap for EnC creation in Rafina will include a detailed plan of setting up the EnC with using all the knowledge from COMPILE project in Rafina municipality This plan will include overview of legal and regulatory framework proposed organisational structure most appropriate COMPILE tools and their integration plan proposed business model and value analysis of the proposed solutionsThe deliverable is related to the work done in task T55

Regulatory frameworks for EnC for pilot site countries - AT, ES, GR, PT, SI

The report is related to work done in Task 2.2 and will include overview of organisational and regulatory issues linked to use cases and pilot sites. It will also include overvew on roles of energy community actors (consumers, producers, grid operators, local authorities, energy market players etc.) in different types of LES (in terms of size, legal framework, organisational structure of energy/municipal sector, energy market rules).

Social, Economic, Environmental and technical impact assessment of COMPILE solutions

The report will contain as well as synthesize for the different use cases the results of the qualitative and quantitative analysis evaluating the impact of the COMPILE solutions considering technical economic social and environmental aspects The results in the report will include both the simulations results and the analyses made based on real measurements from pilot sitesThe deliverable is related to the work done in task T61 T62 and T63

Strategies for community-based managing of local energy consumption and production

This report will describe the control strategies needed to improve the coordinated energy consumption and production of the three full pilot sites. The selection of the most appropriate strategies will be done according to the pre-analysis of the available input data and technical characteristics of the controllable units. The deliverable is related to the work done in task: T3.2.

Stakeholder guidance documents

The report will include a stakeholder guidance with SWOT analyses technique for possible scenarios of creating the EnC The report will also include a special guidances for Municipalities and Local Authorities with examples of mechanisms put in place around Europe involving municipalities a guidance for DSO and market actorsThe deliverable is related to the work done in task T44

Report on interoperability guidelines

The deliverable will provide the guidelines on interoperability, specifying the interfaces and routines of the COMPILE tools needed to cooperate, as defined in T2.4: Interoperability via common interfaces. The report provide the technical characteristics of different appliances and processes controlled by COMPILE products and assesment of their technical capability for involvement into controlled operation of the microgrid.

Policy brief on the final policy and regulatory recommendations

The report willl include a policy brief on the final policy and regulatory recommendations Special attention will be given to existing barriers in the context of regulatory and legislative framework customer engagement data management and Business models The deliverable is related to the work done in task T71 and 74

The Community Maturity Framework

The report will provide a indepth explanation of the Maturity Analysis Framework with a set of criteria to assess the maturity of development of a citizens group as well as recommendations to the citizens group based on this analysis Given the novelty of this framework the report will also inculed feedback from the Advisory Board and other expertsThe deliverable is related to the work done in task T41

Models and techniques for optimal combination of local energy sources

The report will include a description of different models and techniques for optimal combination of local energy sources (wind, solar, gas, cogeneration, EVs, heating, cooling, etc.). The suitability analysis, modelling and calibration will be done for each pilot site. The overview of modelling and techniques will be done through literature overview and will also serve as a basis for T3.2. The deliverable is related to the work done in task: T3.1.

Training Program report

The report will provide a summery of 5 COMPILE workshops with planned and carried out activities. It will also include best practices, methods, cons and pros for different approaches and lessons learned. Training materials will be added to the report. The deliverable is related to the work done in task: T4.3

LES: Operational requirements, use cases and KPIs

The deliverable will contain results of T2.1 and T2.4: definition of energy island and identification of its specific characteristics; identification of use cases and applicable measures for optimisation of energy island’s operation; determination of KPIs for assessment of implementation of COMPILE system in LES.

Report on options for blockchain in Energy Community operation

This report will explore the possible opportunities that blockchain provides for operation of energy communities and functionalites of CVCP It will also include the reusluts of testing a peertopeer trading based on blockchain technology in pilot site Krieveci The deliverable is related to the work done in task T35

Report on new services provided by Energy Communities

The report will outline the main results of the impact analysis of COMPILE solutions regarding the provision of new services to DSOs and market actors in particular in the setting of LES vs the centralized grid infrastructure and energy markets It will also include results of valorisation analysis of the new services which will be carried out by COMPILE BM and VA toolThe deliverable is related to the work done in task T64

System architecture

The deliverable will contain results of T2.3: architecture of COMPILE ICT system with description of components, their main functionalities, and interfaces. The architecture definition will be based on the European SGAM model (Smart Grid Architecture Model) defined by CEN-CENELEC-ETS. The report will contain the system and functional requirements for the EV charging architecture for all the COMPILE demo pilot sites.

Report on international cooperation in research and innovation

Deliverable on international cooperation in research and innovation will include reports of all the activites that were made in COMPILE and what were the outcomes In the report exchange of experiences and knowledge will be described and linked with additional investigation of market opportunities for EU companies to bring additional replication potential to the project The deliverable is related to the work done in task T75

Roadmap for the replication of business models and project solutions

The report will include analysis on which features are most important for choosing the potential sites for EnC what organisational type and what operational tools are most suitable The synthesis of all the outcomes of this task will lead to a roadmap focused on technology providers market players and policymakers on how to foster the development of energy communities The deliverable is related to the work done in task T74

Market opportunities for EU business in India and China

The report will contain the results of market analysis performed by COMPILE international partners from India and China This market analysis will include technical and economic potential evaluation social differences and legal and regulatory framework analysis The deliverable is related to the work done in task T75

Handbook on the EnC creation

The handbook on the EnC creation will include processes needed inputs and the expected outputs for the EnC and the real case examples for pilot sites It will also include parts in which COMPILE tools methods processes gained experience and lessons learned will be explained and how they should be used to foster the creation and operation of EnCThe deliverable is related to the work done in task T51 T52 T53 T54

Dissemination and Communication plan

The report will provide guidance to all dissemination and outreach activities that will be carried out. In addtion it will include a COMPILE media package which will contain a set of graphical/visual elements: logo and wordmark, web-design, icons, colours, fonts, style of images, presentation styles, etc whcih will be used to build up theCOMPILE Project Brand Identity. The deliverable is related to the work done in task: T8.1.

Advanced models and technologies of local storage and electromobility

This report will show how to better integrate the storage and electromobility solutions in the local energy communities. It will include descripiton of the required models, strategies and algorithms to foster their utilization (with maximum consideration of EV user needs in terms of delivery of required energy in required time frame) within different levels of local energy network. The deliverable is related to the work done in task: T3.3.
