Periodic Reporting for period 1 - TCT (Bringing innovation forward to fuel powered engines by disrupting Total Combustion Technology to drastically reduce the emissions of motorcycles and Small Off-Road Engines (SORE))
Periodo di rendicontazione: 2018-08-01 al 2018-10-31
Until now engine manufacturers have been using the standard carburetor to supply fuel to their engines. The standard carburetor cannot be calibrated to provide the optimum air/fuel ratio. Also the fuel is not well atomized causing incomplete combustion. These two factors result in higher emissions.
Emissions reduction is very important for society as they do not only pollute the environment but may also cause respiratory problems. Very good progress has been made with the reduction of emissions in cars. But SORE engines (lawnmowers, generators, snowblowers, etc) that are typically used in residential areas and the smaller motorcycles are a very big emissions contributor. There is currently no legislation in place for existing engines as the legislation only applies to new engines.
The overall objective is to develop, manufacture and sell the TCT Fuel System in a mechanical and electronic version as a fueling solution that will allow engine manufacturers to lower the emissions from their engines with an affordable and competitive fuel system – TCT.
