Project description
Innovation management support for Norwegian SMEs
The EU-funded NORIMS project will increase the innovation management capacity of SMEs in Norway by reducing obstacles to innovation and ensuring the marketisation of innovative ideas. The project will provide two distinct types of services. The first will provide key account management to SME beneficiaries of the SME Instrument, Fast Track to Innovation, and Future and Emerging Technologies - Open funding programmes under Horizon 2020. For instance, the project will identify weaknesses in their innovation capacity, a suitable coach, and assist the beneficiary through the SME Instrument process. The second will deliver to carefully selected SMEs, with significant innovation activities and a high potential for internationalisation, services from the Enterprise Europe Network Business Cooperation Centre to enhance their innovation management capacity.
Objective
The NORIMS project shall strive to enhance the innovation management capacity of Norwegian SMEs in 2019 by reducing barriers to innovation and to ensure that more great ideas will reach the market. The two distinct types of services under this consultation, a) Key Account Management under the SME beneficiaries of the SME Instrument and FTI and FET-Open under H2020 and b) Services to enhance the innovation management capacity of SMEs will be offered as an integrated part of the general support services of the Enterprise Europe Network Business Cooperation Centre (BCC) in Norway in 2019.
