Un assistente di psicoterapia virtuale
La psicoterapia è un mercato da 214 miliardi di dollari con un tasso di crescita annuale composto pari al 10 %. Tuttavia, l’offerta clinica risulta insufficiente per soddisfare le esigenze dei pazienti. Limbic ritiene che la soluzione a questa sfida risieda nell’aumento dell’IA nel percorso assistenziale. Per questo motivo, Limbic ha creato un assistente di psicoterapia basato sull’IA per sostenere pazienti, medici e servizi di salute mentale. Il progetto Limbic, finanziato dall’UE, fornirà la ricerca e la preparazione necessarie per il lancio di Limbic in diversi mercati europei e globali.
Obiettivo
Humans are social creatures. We think and communicate emotionally. However, artificial intelligence (AI) didn't get the memo. We're changing that. Limbic aims to be the cloud computing service for emotional intelligence. We're building an API platform that senses emotional state using signals from the user: facial expression, voice, text, and importantly, physiological signals from wearables. Our software development kit (SDK) is one line of code that sits inside client apps. The code detects which data sources are available (e.g. camera, microphone, text corpus, and wearable heart sensor) and our proprietary machine learning algorithms analyse these to return predictions on the user’s emotional state. Content recommendations for your current mood, personalised app notifications, mental health monitoring - Limbic is an enabling technology with applications across a range of sectors.
The first version of our product is a cloud-hosted stress detection service. It is live and already being used by multiple iOS apps, continuously collecting heart data via the Apple Watch. Through this, we have amassed a proprietary database of people from around Europe (the largest of its kind and growing rapidly). In this Horizon 2020 project, we conduct a Feasibility Study that will provide the research and preparation required to launch Limbic in multiple new European and global markets. The proposed project will not only enhance Limbic’s growth, but also unlock the potential of countless more companies, including many SMEs.
