CellProbe: Microfluidic probe for simultaneous tagging and extraction of single cells

Periodic Reporting for period 1 - CellProbe (CellProbe: Microfluidic probe for simultaneous tagging and extraction of single cells)

Berichtszeitraum: 2019-04-01 bis 2020-09-30

Having developed a liquid scanning probe - microfluidic probe (MFP) - for creating spatially-defined microscale biochemical environments and microscale molecular assays within the ERC-BioProbe project, in this PoC project, we aimed to leverage this technology toward realization of a viable single-cell analysis platform. Therefore, this PoC project had a two-fold objective one was to see if the technology itself scales in terms of resolution for addressing single cells and second was to see how to address (tag) and retrieve (bag) single cells in the context of downstream analysis processes. A complementary aspect was to see if the throughput in analysis could be increased. These objectives were met in terms of early feasibility analysis within the lifetime of this project.
