Project description
Enhancing energy performance certificates
There is room for improvement in terms of energy savings in the building sector, particularly through the refurbishment of Europe’s existing building stock. Amongst the measures introduced in the EU to boost energy savings is energy performance certification, providing buildings and owners an incentive to invest in improving energy efficiency. The EU-funded QualDeEPC project aims to improve both the quality and cross-EU convergence of Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) schemes and the link between EPCs and deep renovation. It will improve the practical implementation of the assessment, issuance, design and use of EPCs as well as their renovation recommendations. The project will promote dialogue involving stakeholders at all levels.
