Mettre à niveau les études universitaires dans le domaine de la migration
Pendant la récente crise des migrations, la Serbie s’est transformée en un couloir migratoire et a lutté pour relever ces nouveaux défis. La connaissance universitaire dans ce domaine était également limitée. Le projet MIGREC, financé par l’UE, soutiendra et coordonnera la mise à niveau de l’Université de Belgrade avec des opportunités de formation pour les chercheurs et les étudiants sur les études sur la migration. Ce projet explorera les politiques d’intégration, le développement des processus et l’administration de la migration. Le résultat constituera la fondation d’un centre de recherche sur la migration, l’intégration et la gouvernance (MIGREC), qui inclura également l’Université de Sheffield au Royaume‑Uni et la Fondation grecque pour la politique européenne et étrangère et le Centre de recherche d’Europe du Sud‑Est.
Objectif
MIGREC is a three year research capacity building project in the field of Migration Studies at the Faculty of Political Science
(FPN) of the University of Belgrade (UoB). The project focuses on upgrading UoB staff academic capacity in order to
contribute effectively to migration related research with policy impact on the rising challenges that Serbia faces today.
MIGREC will bring life to a joint, well-structured coordination and support approach designed to ensure an effective infusion
of state-of-the-art research knowledge in three areas that emerge as specific challenges: integration, the migration-development
nexus and migration governance. FPN is leading the MIGREC consortium, which also includes the University
of Sheffield, UK, the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy, Greece and the Southeast European Research
Centre, Greece. MIGREC aims at upgrading migration related research excellence and impact at FPN and at coordinating
already existing dispersed academic knowledge throughout the University. The outcome of the project will be the creation of
a Migration, Integration and Governance Research Centre (MIGREC), which will ensure the sustainability of Migration Studies at
FPN through training, coordination and mentoring of staff and students, as well as, through the creation of a Research
Strategy and Agenda and a Doctoral Studies Program.
