Descripción del proyecto

Colaboración internacional en TIC

CHIST-ERA es un programa de investigación colaborativa a nivel europeo sobre los problemas científicos a largo plazo en las tecnologías de la información y las comunicaciones (TIC) y los campos relacionados. Se trata de una actividad de coordinación y cooperación de organizaciones nacionales y regionales (principalmente en Europa) para la financiación de la investigación. El objetivo es reforzar la colaboración transnacional entre los estados participantes sobre aspectos complejos de la investigación multidisciplinar en las TIC y los campos basados en estas, y podría aportar avances importantes y significativos. Todos los años, las organizaciones asociadas escogen campos científicos de nueva aparición y convocan propuestas de investigación transnacionales, lo que permite a los investigadores participar en proyectos de alto riesgo e impacto. El proyecto CHIST-ERA IV, financiado con fondos europeos, se centra en dos conceptos independientes: la inteligencia artificial basada en el aprendizaje automático explicable y los nuevos métodos computacionales para la sostenibilidad medioambiental.

Objetivo

"CHIST-ERA is a network of research funding organisations in Europe and beyond with programmes in Information and Communication Science and Technology (ICST), at the intersection of the FET and the ICT and ICT-based domains. CHIST-ERA IV ERA-NET aims at supporting transnational research projects addressing long-term scientific challenges in the domain of ICT or at the interface between ICT and other domains. It also fosters the maturation of the corresponding research topics and the structuration of the corresponding communities. Another goal is to encourage Open Science best practices, raise awarness about responsible Research and Innovation and support the exploitation of the research projects funded by CHIST-ERA by the industry. In the framework of CHIST-ERA IV, 6 joint transnational calls are planned (the Calls 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 et ORD). The two topics for the Call 2019 are ""Explainable Machine Learning-based Artificial Intelligence"" and ""Novel Computational Approaches for Environmental Sustainability""."
