Description du projet

Une collaboration internationale dans le secteur des TIC

CHIST-ERA est un programme de recherche à long terme coordonné par l’Europe sur les technologies de l’information et de la communication (TIC) et sur les défis scientifiques qui découlent des TIC. Il s’agit d’une activité de coordination et de coopération issue des organismes de financement de la recherche nationale et régionale, qui concerne principalement l’Europe. L’objectif est de renforcer la collaboration transnationale entre les États participants pour promouvoir la recherche multidisciplinaire dans le domaine des TIC et des secteurs liés aux TIC, avec à la clé de potentielles découverte majeures. Chaque année, les organismes partenaires identifient des domaines scientifiques émergents, permettant aux chercheurs de s’impliquer dans des projets à haut risque et à haut potentiel en lançant un appel transnational de propositions de recherche. Le projet CHIST-ERA IV financé par l’UE couvre deux sujets distincts: l’intelligence artificielle explicable basée sur l’apprentissage automatique, et les approches de calcul novatrices pour la durabilité environnementale.

Objectif

"CHIST-ERA is a network of research funding organisations in Europe and beyond with programmes in Information and Communication Science and Technology (ICST), at the intersection of the FET and the ICT and ICT-based domains. CHIST-ERA IV ERA-NET aims at supporting transnational research projects addressing long-term scientific challenges in the domain of ICT or at the interface between ICT and other domains. It also fosters the maturation of the corresponding research topics and the structuration of the corresponding communities. Another goal is to encourage Open Science best practices, raise awarness about responsible Research and Innovation and support the exploitation of the research projects funded by CHIST-ERA by the industry. In the framework of CHIST-ERA IV, 6 joint transnational calls are planned (the Calls 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 et ORD). The two topics for the Call 2019 are ""Explainable Machine Learning-based Artificial Intelligence"" and ""Novel Computational Approaches for Environmental Sustainability""."
