Market system maps (10)

This deliverable contains a set of ten market system maps one for each case study to be conducted in Task 92 The maps will using PESTE and SWOT analyses provide snapshots of existing market system situations including barriers and opportunities to be delivered by month 12 They will be the result of preliminary market mapping by case study partners in consultation with first a group of key informant stakeholders and second wider groups of stakeholder in a workshop setting in conjunction with the first meetings of the CoPs COVID19 permitted The agreed market maps with assessment of barriers and opportunities form inputs for task 93 business models and WP10 policies

The Policy Packaging methodology and its applicability to WATER-MINING

This deliverable is associated with Task 101 and it will provide a summary of the concept of policy packaging ie What is Policy Packaging its methodology How is policy packaging done its advantages over conventional policy analysis which usually examines policy in isolation the steps need for implementing policy packaging in general the basic and effective package and how it will be implemented specifically in the case of a WATERMINING policy package

Design parameters for CE processes (focus on phosphorus, water and energy recovery)

This deliverable is associated with Task 51 WP5 aims to demonstrate technical and economic feasibility of implementing a circular economy scheme at two urban wastewater treatment plants WWTPs to recover phosphorus salts water and energy To achieve this goal several technologies should be designed for successful implementation on each demo site Case Study CS 4 5 i vivianite crystallizer ViviCryst phosphorus recovery as vivianite at CS 4 5 ii biophree adsorption phosphorus removal to ultralow concentrations and recovery as a liquid fertilizer product at CS 4 5 iii nanofiltration NF to facilitate the separation of monovalent and divalent salts at CS4 iv reverse osmosis RO to treat further the permeate rich in sodium chloride and recover water at CS4 v granular anaerobic membrane bioreactor AnMBR remove organic matter and produce biogas for energy purposes at CS5 vi partial nitritation PN reactor with granular biomass to oxidise the ammonium until nitrite at high loading rates and low energy requirements at CS5 vii anaerobic ammonium oxidation anammox reactor with granular biomass to reduce nitrite and produce dinitrogen gas at high loading rates and low energy requirements at CS5 and viii reverse osmosis process with regenerated membranes to obtain water quality for industrial or agricultural purposes This deliverable report will include the design of each unit and related equipment for implementation

Policy Inventory / Policy Gap Analysis

This deliverable is associated with Task 101 and will include a systematic analysis and review of Circular Economy Water Waste and Energy policy based on each of the six case studies at the EU country Italy Spain The Netherlands Portugal Cyprus and local levels in relation to the supply chain of water This analysis will identify the enablers that enhance and the barriers that prevent the uptake of the casestudy CEBMs This will result in an integrated inventory of best policy practices As part of this analysis this report will also include a policy gap analysis resulting in an inventory of relevant policy legislation measures Directives Regulations EndofWaste criteria Technical documents etc that are missing from current policy for this we will also explore the regulations conditions in the Israeli water sector Also for each existing policy the mechanism linkages enabling the transition from linear to circular economy business models will be identified as well as the conditions required to enable them Moreover relevant polices in additional leading industrial countries eg India will be examined This will provide a broad contrast with the situation in EUbased countries

Strategic communication plan

The strategic communication plan SCP gives direction to the project dissemination activities customized planning tactics and key performance indicators KPIs as lined out in section 2213 It will build upon the respective current status of I the stakeholder analysis and mapping in WPs28910 and II the stakeholder engagement plan The plan will be tailored to integrate I online social media presence II stakeholder engagement III market related scientific public communication IV engagement in thematic initiatives events
