PREParE SHIPS - PREdicted Positioning based on Egnss for SHIPS

Project description

Improving navigation for ships

Technology has long tried to simplify navigation on board and allow monitoring from ashore in order to increase maritime safety. The EU-funded PREParE SHIPS project aims at the development and demonstration of a collaborative resilience navigation solution. It plans to advance and enhance existing software solutions by exploiting the distinguished features of Galileo signals and also combine other nautical information on internal as well as external parameters and sensor technologies. This improved navigation system increases safety and efficiency significantly, and is intended to become the base of future autonomous operations. PREParE SHIPS will also implement perception layer sensor fusion that uses historical information gathered from the ship in similar conditions based on machine learning hybrid models.
