This protocol will describe each step of the disassembly process of a battery cell It will define the precise methodology for opening the cell and for the separation of the components Each component needs to be defined with a number of parameters weight porosity chemical purity etc The protocol will include a safety assessment of the full process of cell disassembling pointing to the specific actions to consider as safety precautions for each step of cell disassembling process

Starting from topdown approach the system and the cell requirement will be defined from those the material and component requirements will be derived in close cooperation between the partners TOP will define the requirements for the LMNO cathode whereas IFE and CEA will define the requirements for the anode materials SiC and TNO SLV will deal with the requirements on the electrodes and electrolyte
