Periodic Reporting for period 1 - ALICE (Armored Liftable anti-Intrusion Control Equipment) Période du rapport: 2019-09-01 au 2020-02-29 Résumé du contexte et des objectifs généraux du projet Over the last years, the worldwide rise of terrorism came with a series of attacks that have migrated from critical infrastructures to public spaces, which are characterized by limited protection measures. A tendency has recently appeared to use ramming vehicles to target unprotected places of mass congregation. Alice is a vehicles barrier specifically designed and capable of stopping an ill-intentioned vehicle that attempts to breach the security perimeter. Alice can be integrated in urban architecture as street design with multiple functions (plant pot/bicycle stands) reducing psychological and sociological impact related to artificial barrier.The overall objectives of Alice are to realize and commercialize a barrier able to balance security effectiveness with social and political acceptability focusing on design aesthetics.
