Enterprise Europe Network Innovation specific services in the two regions of Eastern France

Periodic Reporting for period 1 - EEN EF4 INNO 20-21 (Enterprise Europe Network Innovation specific services in the two regions of Eastern France)

Berichtszeitraum: 2020-01-01 bis 2021-12-31

EEN Eastern France promoted the new tools of the EIC pilot. EIC preparation workshops took place during the period on the COSME contract. But the consortium also capitalised on training and supporting actions performed earlier.
As a result, about 10 SMEs submitted proposals to the EIC accelerator in 2020/21
4 projects were awarded during the period with the EIC accelerator including one Covid-19, and 6 Seals of Excellence were also registered.

EIMC services were the focus of this project in 2020/21 again, with positive qualitative and quantitative outcomes for the SMEs mentored.
As in the last period, mostly 3 types of companies were identified for the EIMC
- Innovative companies with a potential of growing on international market
- Start-up companies having already a little background and first sales but requiring to revise their initial business plan and set up a new innovation management strategy
- Companies with existing products and markets, but requiring to raise the

Action plans indeed include:
• Actions to be carried out by the SME itself (in this case the EEN advisor acts as a “coach”)
• Actions in the form of additional advisory services provided by the EEN core business
• Actions provided by third parties signposted by EEN (where once again the EEN advisor acts as some kind of “key account manager”)
capacity to innovate and enter in the innovation management continuous improvement circle to remain competitive
Topics concerned several items having an impact on innovation management: business strategy, strategic dashboards, HR, business intelligence and technology watch, quality management, communication, marketing and production, project engineering and management process, innovation management process, creativity, intellectual property management. In all cases, Innovation was understood in its large definition (e.g. not restricted to R&D or technology).
