Periodic Reporting for period 1 - InteSens (Innovative INTEgrated SENsor System for monitoring Infrastructural Assets)

The aim of the project was to ascertain the technical, commercial and financial viability of Inte-Sens and to determine the next actions to ensure that it reaches adequate maturity for successful market entry and guaranteed industry competitiveness.
We evaluated the additional sensors and new sensor data processing functionalities and the technical feasibility of integrating them under Infra-cloud. We finalized the design specifications of the new sensor box and all the sensor connections and through an FMEA, identified potential areas of concern in the system lifecycle (e.g. operation, maintenance). We conducted a freedom to operate analysis and can confirm that there are no restrictions commercialising of the results of the Inte-Sens project. We developed a work plan detailing the activities to be done during the EIC project.
We narrowed down our target users and identified their needs, as will be met by the Inte-Sens technology. We conducted a market study to quantify the market within which Inte-Sens exists and to show its growth patterns, which support pursuing the project. We identified how our target market is segmented and structured the best market approach for effective exploitation. We refined our sales processes for Inte-Sens and identified potential players in our distribution network. We developed a risk management plan and identified the certification needed for our solution.
We assessed our skills gap for the successful complementation and commercialization of Inte-Sens and developed a hiring plan. We generated a comprehensive budget based on the anticipated work laid out in the EIC project work plan. We also developed 5-year financial projections for Inte-Sens post-project completion. Inte-Sens is expected to have significant positive impact on the financial performance of INFRASENS.
