Personalized Prediction and Intervention for Behavioral Avoidance and Maladaptive Affective States

Project description

Enabling transdiagnostics and intervention in maladaptive processes

Some of the emotionally driven and most ineffective strategies of human behaviour (such as avoidance) can put a person at increased risk of reactions that are destructive for mental health. Unfortunately, in a case of behavioural avoidance and maladaptive affective states, emotions are evoked by various, individually determined cognitive factors, and it is difficult to formulate precise systematic models of prediction and intervention in a case. To address the problem, the EU-funded Personalized-PredInt project will develop a person-specific predicting model for behavioural avoidance and maladaptive emotional states and construct a person-specific just-in-time adaptive intervention (JITAI) system collecting the necessary data. The JITAI app will enable interventions based on individual predictors. Personalized-PredInt will introduce transdiagnostics and precise interventions in maladaptive processes.
