Final Report Summary - NPEGST (Non perturbative effects in gauge and string theories)
The project is the return phase of the previous IIF project NPGST which was carried out in String Theory Group of Rome University 'Tor Vergata' (see http://people.roma2.infn.it/~stringhe(öffnet in neuem Fenster) for details) during the period from 1 February 2009 to 1 February 2011 jointly by the researcher from Armenia Rubik Poghosyan and members of the group Francesco Fucito, Francisco Morales and Massimo Bianchi. This collaboration was very fruitful and resulted in a number of important results related to non-perturbative aspects of gauge and super string theories which are widely recognised by the scientific community in this field (detailed information on the publications of R. Poghosyan of this period can be traced e.g. in SPIRES hep database http://Inspirehep.net/(öffnet in neuem Fenster) under the search string: find author Poghossian,R and date > 2008).
The main propose of the return phase (NPGST, project reference No. 908571) was to reintegrate the researcher back at home institution A. I. Alikhanyan National Science Laboratory (ANL) in Yerevan, Armenia. Transfer to ANL from 'Tor Vergata' happened in a very complicated (among others also in financial aspect) period of ANL (former Yerevan Physics Institute) when by decision of Armenian government it has changed not only its name but also the legal status (now it is a foundation established by government), that is why the impact of financial support in the framework of this project was crucial in all activities carried out by R. Poghosyan after becoming a leading scientific researcher of the theory department of ANL. These activities where two sided. First, those which were directed to maintain and to develop further the already established scientific contacts with European research centres and scientists and second to continue active research involving (mainly young) local researchers, PhD and Master students. Below a brief resume of these activities is presented.
Visits to European and international research centers and participation in workshops / conferences:
- 14 - 28 April 2011, visit to Center for Quantum Space-time (CQUeST) at Sogang University, Seoul; Discussions with Prof. Chaiho Rim and his group related to the application of matrix model technique to the instanton counting in super-symmetric Yang-Mills theory; seminar on 18 April, see http://cquest.sogang.ac.kr/modules/board/bd_view.html?no=335&id=forum_seminar(öffnet in neuem Fenster) for details.
- 15 July - 14 September 2011, visit Physics Institute of the University of Bonn; collaboration with Prof. R. Flume and discussions with Prof. A. Klemm.
- 26 - 30 September 2011, participation in conference 'Recent advances in Quantum Field and String Theory', Tbilisi, Georgia, an invited talk is delivered (see details at http://www.freeuni.edu.ge/physics/index.php(öffnet in neuem Fenster) online).
- 1 February - 16 March 2012, visit Physics Institute of the University of Bonn.

- 10 September - 10 October, visit SISSA, Trieste, Italy, collaboration with Prof. U. Bruzzo and Prof. A. Tanzini, an invited talk delivered at the workshop 'Geometric correspondences of Gauge Theories', SISSA, Trieste, 17 - 21 September (see http://people.sissa.it/~bonelli/workshops/ws12/index.html(öffnet in neuem Fenster) for details).
- 16 Novemer - 21 December 2012, visit University of Rome 'Tor Vergata', collaboration with Prof. F. Fucito, Prof. F. Morales and PhD student D. Ricci-Pacifici.
Now about local activities:
- XV international conference 'Symmetry Methods in Physics', 25 - 29 July 2011, Yerevan, actively participated in organisation as a local committee member, see http://theor.jinr.ru/~symphys/2011/committee.html(öffnet in neuem Fenster) for details.
- Organisation of a three week lecture course on 'Supersymmetric Quantum Field Theories' attended by young researchers, PhD and Master students both fom ANL and physics department of the Yerevan State University (approximately 12 - 14 listeners), 7 - 25 November 2011.
- 27 - 30 August, participation in organisation and an invited talk at Third International Workshop Supersymmetry in Integrable Systems-SIS'12, Yerevan, see http://theorphyslab-ysu.info/sis12/index.php?page=main.html(öffnet in neuem Fenster) for details.
After coming back to ANL, R. Poghosyan has published the paper:
F. Fucito, J. F.Morales D. R.Pacifici and R. Poghossian, Gauge theories on Omega-backgrounds from non-commutative Seiberg-Witten curves, published in JHEP 1105, 098 (2011),
where the earlier notion 'deformed Seiberg-Witten curve' introduced by R. Poghossian is further developed. Two other scientific papers one with above collaborators and the other by R. Poghossian only is ready for publication.
