Obiettivo
OBJECTIVES
The new communication and information technologies affect ways of organising labour in the teleworking sector. This sector employs mainly female labour and is expanding rapidly. But it must be said that the female workforce has not been trained to adapt easily to the technological changes in the communication sector. The project partners propose to create training programmes for enterprises and teleworkers in order to improve their training and enable them to adapt to the change. Eventually, the sector will become more efficient. This project will also promote equal opportunities by creating new jobs in a mainly female-dominated field.
ACTIVITIES
Initially, seminars will be organised to inform teleworkers about all the new technologies. Then, the partners will draw up a standard profile of a teleworker and a range of activities likely to be carried out in teleworking. The project promoters will include a constituent that deals with the repercussions (positive: lower wage costs; negative: teleworking means cutting certain jobs) that teleworking may have on enterprises. Based on all these results, training plans will be organised, assessed and disseminated.
