Obiettivo
OBJECTIVES
The main objective of the study is to spread knowledge and innovations in the area of skills assessment. This will involve promoting the use of flexible assessment techniques which, despite their general beneficial effect, are still all too often treated as methods which are sophisticated and difficult to use. This project is innovative in that it is essentially geared towards the study of the effects and the benefits from these methods of assessment as they are currently used in companies or in assessment and training centres, where as up to now the effects of assessment methods have primarily been looked at from a strictly quantitative viewpoint. The other strong point of this study is the pluridisciplinary partnership which has been formed around this problem in order to improve the assessment process. The brings various organisational and institutional contexts into the arena.
ACTIVITIES
Initially, research will be carried out into the effects and benefits of skills assessment methods and these methods will be made clearer for companies, employees and social partners. An awareness and information campaign will then be launched for companies, social partners and employees, in order to help them to deal with structural adjustments and to optimise investments in human resources. Finally, the results of the qualitative analyses will be placed in an administrative and operational framework for assessment of skills and counselling with the addition of new concrete and operational elements (tools and methods).
RESULTS
Co-operation with companies and the social partners should lead to the production of pragmatic guides which will serve as real working tools for the different individuals responsible, and furthermore, the pluridisciplinary partnership of the project will summarise the results of the work in a publication intended for an academic audience and for the economic players in question.
