Obiettivo
The estate agent in the EU is facing the twin pressures of more demanding clients, and trying to retain a competitive edge in the face of large groups and the growth in the use of new technology. This requires investment in training time and money. Historically, estate agents across the EU have operated within the contact of vastly different rules and regulations. The result is that there is a wide divergence between the standards of training and virtually no mobility of labour. Much work needs to be done to address the issue of a lack of competence-based training and broader experience.
The purpose of this project is to facilitate both an improvement in skills training across the EU, and the ease with which professionals can practise in other Member States. These aims will be achieved by the production of training modules, which young professionals can use in their training programmes. The modules will be piloted following internal consultation and testing. Industry-wide recognition will be sought via the employer member of the project team and national associations.
The project will cover the whole range of estate agency related subjects, including : promoting the sale of property; selling and negotiating skills; communication skills; safety and security; rentals; and points of law relating to the buying and selling of property;
Impact
Once adapted, validated and implemented, the training developed by this project should become the transnationally accepted method of training in key/core skills.
