Obiettivo
This project refers to the development of work-based learning for employees of SMEs, leading to a new qualification in European management skills, which will be awarded in EU countries by the UK Business and Technology and Education Council (BTEC). It aims to develop a transnational BTEC award in 'European Business and Management', which will include European language skills, information technology, and European business and management skills.
The partners will establish a unique transnational vocational award. The curriculum will include SME relevant subjects related to the areas of European Single Market, European business law, marketing in a European context, European finance, business support in a European context, and language support. A range of learning materials will be developed in the form of open and distance learning packages with tutorial support.
This new vocational qualification will be made available to SME employees through an innovative system of work-based learning, assessment and accreditation of existing work and prior learning, and through flexible methods of delivery. The project will also develop a transnational network of SMEs in each partner region, using databases and access points.
Impact
SME employees will be able to acquire a recognised vocational qualification, providing them with additional valuable skills required for working in the context of a competitive European market. SMEs will have access to a transnational network of work-based learning facilities, and the training expertise of a range of institutions.
