Industrial enterprises in general and metallurgical enterprises in particular use various methods to determine their training needs. This situation often causes an imbalance between the real needs of enterprises and the training programmes offered. The goal of this project is to identify the methodology used by metallurgical enterprises in Europe to determine their own training needs, and to propose ways of improving this process. This will lead to rationalisation and to a greater return on private and public resources used for training.
The inquiry will involve four stages : an independent analysis by each partner institution in their respective geographical areas on the current situation and future trends of the methodology used to identify training needs; proposal of measures to improve this methodology; distributing the results of the analysis to the various organisations related to the iron and steel sector; and drawing up a final report, bringing together all the results obtained, the conclusions and the chosen distribution strategy.
Impact
METODOFORM will identify easy-to-apply innovative measures to make the process of identifying training needs simpler. It will also try and ensure that there is a greater balance between industry needs and training programmes.
