In response to the liberalisation of European public markets and of their opening up to small and medium sized enterprises, the EUROMAP training package was created to facilitate the acquisition of new core skills and to implement new strategies and training programmes. This pilot project aims to organise and manage the distribution of these new training options.
The TELEUROMAP project will begin by creating a telematic network to facilitate this distribution to enterprises and public authorities throughout Europe. An Internet site will provide information on calls for tender; will allow people to exchange experiences; and will provide easier access to numerous databases, such as the one operated by the World Bank. The next step in the project will be to implement a technical and linguistic help service for enterprises that want to participate in European public markets. Finally, a seminar for SMEs will be organised to develop and improve training activities.
These training packages will be made available on CD-ROM to SME associations and to training organisations, amongst others. All public and related private networks will be mobilised to efficiently distribute the results of TELEUROMAP.
Impact
This pilot project will help modify training systems to make them quicker, more modern and easier to use. As a result, SMEs will become more professional and more competent.
