MOBILE AGENTS ENVIRONMENTS IN INTELLIGENT NETWORKS; MARINE

MARINE (Mobile Agents environments in Intelligent Networks) investigates enhancements of Intelligent Networks (IN) towards a distributed computational environment. This allows the exchange of service logic and data implemented as Mobile Agents (MAs) when modelling the interactions between IN elements (including the switch). The MARINE architecture, through the adoption of DOT/MAT technologies allows a dynamic network reconfiguration on the basis of real-time needs. The basic advantage of this architecture is the capability of moving from an initially centralized service provision towards a dynamic decentralization that can be required by the characteristics of the service itself or by the signalling load in some areas at some periods of time.
