Ziel
The entire QQR conception on basis of progressive technology has been designed, developed and implemented comprising the main components:
- computer-aided quality management
- communication-aided logistics management
- flexible manufacturing groups
- innovative customer driven logistics conception
- monitoring the flow of goods throughout the textile supply chain
- conception of automatic re-ordering
- standardized electronic exchange
- local area network integrated of QQR-applications.
The features of the basis QQR logistic model provide the partners in the supply chain with up-to-date information they need to supply their production and stores with the right quantities of the right foods at the right time, while at the same time optimising their profit situation.
The QQR conception supports the linkage of quality management, flexible manufacturing and consumer demands by electronic data exchange. This has been attained by optimising the areas and by integrating procedures in the textile-clothing-retail stages as well as by rapid material passage with reduced stocks and the assurance of suitable product and service quality. The advanced features of QQR are build on high level integration between the various logistic and administrative functions of the participating industries. This resulted in significant reduction of cycle times and costs associated with processing customer orders, acquiring raw material, distributing and selling final products. It has been clearly understood by the partners that the project serves as a catalyst for future developments on textile chain logistics and communications.
European clothing and textile enterprises compete on the international market by quality improvement, flexibility in response to customer demands, flexibility on manufacturing processes, higher investments in automation and computer integration.
Communication and standardisation are the backbone of all these efforts. Through effective communications it is possible to reduce costs, manpower and time.
The quality requirements of textile products are closely related to customer demands. Within textile, clothing and retail chains, both communications and quality need commonly agreed standards.
Today technical and organisational barriers exist and to reach the goal of Quick Response and Quality Improvement, the partners are developing a working prototype that fulfils the requirements of the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) reference model and that supports the interchange of agreed quality data.
