Exploitable results
A computer package has been developed for computer simulation of mould filling and solidification in casting processes. The software is based on the finite element method and it allows the user to predict the evolution of metal flow during filling operations as well as the temperature distribution, the deformation of the part and the stress strain history during solidification and cooling.
