Deliverables

The PARCOURI project has led to the development of a reinforced tarpaulin concept able to withstand normalised cutter-type assault. The prominent advantages of the new product are: -The behaviour in case of an assault using a cutter. -The lateral manoeuvrability, combined with a good vertical stiffness. -Dressing using the same methods as for the classical tarpaulin. -The decoration, water-proofing and cleaning using the same methods as for the classical tarpaulin. -The conformity of the product to the various transportation codes and standards, as the reinforcement is added to an already certified product. Concerning the industrial production issue, some contacts taken after the research let foresee very encouraging prospects for the large scale production of the reinforced tarpaulin based on the new concept.
