Food on-line densitometer

Obiettivo


The project output is a food compatible densitometer of a new generation,with a dynamic operation,fully validated in actual fermentation environment from alcoholic (wine,beer) to no alcoholic (soft drinks).

The project has allowed a full validation of the potential exploitation for all types of drinks (soft or alcoholic) and by industries in need of continuous liquid concentration monitoring.

The system is a portable unit with direct measurement results display and RS 232 transfert protocol for complementary exploitation.

It is foreseen that this unit will find its place on all production lines of the above listed industries,in place of the traditional more empirical tools (mustimeter,PAAR densitometer) non interfacable with monitoring or control systems.

At the end of the two year project two versions are available :

- A portable unit complete with conditioning and display with a sensor to be immersed in the vats.
- A fixed model with in-line sensor set in a complete automated fermentation process. The sensor is connectable to the portable electronic unit.

Measurement range and accuracy of the prototype :
- From 0,9900 g/ml to 1300 g/ml
- Accuracy 0,0001 g/ml.

Measurement sampling rate :
- One computed value every 2 minutes.

Measurement environment :
- Continuous display of the temperature and pressure of the analysed fluid.

Data storage :
- Up to 12000 measuring points logging.

Independent electric operating rate : up to 8 hours.
