Obiettivo
The following substrate materials have been painted: polypropylene, a wood core covered with SMC, homogeneous SMC and polyamide.
Optimized processes have been presented in lab scale in three of the four cases.
One of the most important things have been that is was possible to engage and convince suppliers to make developments for the different proposers. The most important are the improvement of the performance of the low-curing epoxy powders, the development of a new waterborne conducting and adhesion promoting liquid and that a work has started to improve the conductive IMC primer. This development work would not have been started if the initiative had come from one of the SME without the project back up.
