The multimedia application DAILY is a CD-ROM where elderly users with minor motor impairments can seek information about how to make everyday life easier. The programme shows the most common assistive devices used in the home. The programme is the first of its kind developed for elderly people using modern technology, where users can interact with the programme and get the exact information they want. This enables users to seek answers to problems raised by getting older and also to place proper demands on society or to solve problems on their own. They are no longer dependent on getting hold of information through professionals, but can seek it on their own. Professionals can use the application to obtain knowledge of the different assistive devices available on the market and to pass this information to the elderly. The DAILY application should be found in libraries, day care centres, Technical Aids Centres, Rehabilitation Centres and every other places where elderly people frequently go.
