Obiettivo Aim of the project is to get energy savings in waste transportation by means of suitable equipment assuring higher vehicle payloads. Furthemore said project involves manpower reduction in waste collecting crews as well as in road pollution level.A special push pit is used to receive solid waste unloaded from collecting vehicles. The push pit is also used to feed garbage in a stationary compactor which is connected with. The compression chamber of the stationary compactor is fed with the garbage stored in the above push pit and a hydraulically operated ram packs them directly in a semitrailer van which is coupled in the front part of the stationary compactor.In this way, it is possible to reduce transport volumes of the garbage thus reducing the number of routes to the disposing off site and getting less fuel consumption and road pollution.
