Obiettivo
The project consists in the rehabilitation of the entire facade of a building (of 118 dwellings) by creation of a second facade before the existing one. The different parts of the new facades are windows with double glazing, opaque insulated panels and solar collectors.
The project combines an architectural renovation and energy savings. Average savings are expected to reach 0,23 TEP/dwelling per year (35 %of previous consumption).
The second facade is composed by the following elements :
- windows with double gazing
- opaque panels. These panels are replaced by solar collectors associated with a thermal storage for the SE, S and SW orientations.
The existing balconies are transformed into little greenhouses. The advantages of this second facade are :
- increase of the thermal insulation
- decrease of cold air and water infiltration
- pre-heating of the fresh air of ventilation of the dwellings in the greenhouses or in the solar-collectors - architectural rehabilitation of the building
- increase of the floor area of the dwelling with the greenhouses.
