Concerted Action on Mediterranean Desertification

The reviews produced by the Concerted Action are a significant source of information on the current state of knowledge and activilty in Mediterranean Desertification. Specifically, all European countries have been reviewed and details of actions and legislation are documented. A second document reviews EU research into the area of Mediterranean Desertification: History and Development; Processes; Modelling; Monitoring and Prevention and Mitigation. A third volume of results details results from university think-tanks on key research areas where gaps in research knowledge still exist. These are: Water Resources, Land Quality, Land Abandonment and The Human Dimension.
