Fastex Database

Summary: The Fastex database is the most comprehensive dataset available to date on mid latitude cyclones and storms. It gathers the measurements, both in situ and remote, collected during a two month field experiment, in January and February 1997. Its major asset is its collection of more than 10,000 high resolution vertical profiles that spin the north-Atlantic storm track, included the usually little observed central area. The Database is accessible via http://www.cnrm.metro.fr/fastex/.
