Remote product/customer support via extended enterprise.

Objective

The project will develop an innovative system, which will enable manufacturing companies to extend their expertise into customers' sites, to provide comprehensive product support to customers and field engineers. This will result in suppliers' knowledge being readily available at the customers' site, and will also result in feedback from customers (customer comments) being readily available to the supplier. Customers and field engineers will be able to access the company product support web site, which will contain the structured knowledge of personnel from the company to diagnose product problems, to get guidance on working with the products, and to get technical sales support. The Manufacturer and customers and field engineers will combine their knowledge (expertise, experiences, suggestions, feedback) to improve product support to customers and field engineers, and to enhance the design process and facilitate enhanced product improvement opportunities.
