Multidisciplinary earthquake prediction programme

The main result is the first estimation of the time which passes after the onset of precursory phenomena of earthquakes and the occurrence of earthquakes. It was elaborated for 1991 to 1996 in Georgia and Turkmenistan. It seems that precursory phenomena can be observed up to one week before the occurrence of the earthquake with a magnitude of 3 to 5 and up to a few weeks before the occurrence of strong earthquakes. The distance to the epicentre must be small enough to yield an estimated deformation of >10-9.
