Objective
Previous work (JOUE-004l-C) on enhanced evaporation has established the advantages to be gained by using special surfaces and confined spaces for boiling heat transfer i.e. improved performance and reduced size, weight and price. This project utilises and extends these results to the two phase flow experienced in narrow channels and to the design and testing of compact evaporator arrangements.
It aims at producing the technical and design information required to produce advanced compact heat exchangers for evaporation.
