Innovate mechanisms for the dissemination of energy-efficient building and product research

The INNOBUILD project aimed to interpret and exploit the results of European R&D on the rational use of energy in buildings, particularly those projects funded under JOULE II, so that their implementation is facilitated. The project also aimed to improve the up-take of energy efficiency measures in buildings and therefore minimise the environmental impact of buildings in the future. Throughout the EU, building designers, builders and planners require a wide range of technological information on energy-efficient and environmentally friendly technologies in order to ensure architectural designs incorporate state-of-the-art best practice. The project would provide a framework for collating and disseminating this information.
