Systematic analysis of gas turbine-fuel cell combinations generation with very high efficiency

The project aimed to conduct an economic analysis of gas turbine-fuel cell combination systems, generating electrical power at very high efficiency. This would enable objective comparison of the economics of different systems and enable manufacturers to obtain invaluable operational data for use in research projects. The highly effective usage of energy from fossil fuels is one of the key issues for the development of fuel cell power plants. Fuel cells, as electrochemical electricity generators, are in competition with conventional generators such as gas turbines. However, fuel cells can also be combined with gas turbines to generate electricity with even greater efficiency.
