Testing Systems using Telematics for Library Access for Blind and Visually Handicapped Readers; TESTLAB

A support system has been developed for testing the quality and performance of various approaches for blind and visually handicapped users of library services. The environment and the tools for testing interfaces for the visually disabled is suitable for widespread exploitation by libraries for the blind. Specific developments for the blind include access to library catalogues in Ireland, the UK and Austria, training programmes in Ireland, Austria and Italy and a database of German literature.
