ATRE has developed, integrated and experimented:
the ATRE platform: good quality tele-seminars and video-conferencing, multi-platform, over the
multicast service of today's IP networks, together with tools and methods for recording and replaying conferences and seminars. It is used, typically, for broadcasting conferences from the Ecole Polytechnique, with up to 50 or more remote sites listening and participating. The industry and business world are also interested
the IPv6 quality of service demonstrator:
an implementation of the RSVP protocol, using IPv6 over ATM, with the multicast audio and video tools as test applications. This implementation validates the concept that an application can request a specific quality from the network on a temporary basis (for example, guaranteed bandwidth during a video-conference), the network being able to dynamically adapt and answer the request. This result paves the way for future developments.ATM-switched, virtual circuit interface implementation, now imbedded into ATM Alcatel products.
