Obiettivo
The project aims at proving the concept of flameless combustion of coal with the objective of delivering burner designs that are ready for demonstration.
In order to achieve these objectives established methods for R&D in combustion research are used:
- Proof of the concept by experimental investigations at bench scale
- Modelling and simulation to provide suitable tools for up-scaling the burners and designing suitable boilers.
- Pilot scale testing of the scaled up burners
- Design of industrial applications and assessment of the feasibility of the new technology
