CLUSTERED, GRID-CONNECTED PV INSTALLATION ON SERIAL HOUSES

Ziel

To study the electrical effects (change of energy flow, harmonics, dc-component, islanding, flickering, ecc.) in a low-voltage grid for a cluster connection of many individual pv systems.
Installation and erection procedures are standardised and allow cost reductions (10 ECU/Wp);
Comparison of load demand and pv production. Aesthetical aspects of roof mounting and roof integration.

Individual pv systems of 2 kWp each are installed on the roofs of five housing blocks of 25 serial houses in Essen. The systems are connected separately to the grid via inverters. During the first year line-commutated inverters are studied, during the second year self-commutated inverters. Full monitoring is one of the major aims of the study. Nr. of subsystems : 25
