Obiettivo
The Commission of the European Union issued the Directive 94/67/CE in December 94 to establish a limit value for emissions of PCDDs/PCDFs of 0.1 ng/Nm3 I-TE for hazardous waste incinerators. Also in December 96, CEN/TC 264 produces a European Standard for the measurement of PCDDs/PCDFs at low levels such as 0.1 ng/Nm3 that required certified reference materials.
The objective of this project is to prepare calibrant solutions for each labelled and native PCDDs/PCDFs compound and a certified fly ash at a low concentration level.
The development of the project is proceeding according to the work programme :
* the purchase of labelled and native crystalline compounds has been completed and their purity tested. The production of calibrant solution is under way.
* the preparation of the certified fly ash is completed and control of homogeneity and stability is under way
