Obiettivo
1. The POSSUM Consortium will develop a set of alternative policy scenarios to assist in decision making on the CTP and theTEN.
2. The policy scenarios will be developed with expert groups, and tested with a range of futures to include economic growth, development and environment.
3. Criteria for sustainable mobility will be developed and these will be linked into the policy scenarios through clearly stated objectives and targets, which will reflect the priorities of a sustainable transport policy.
4. Transport policy scenarios will be designed to present a range of future situations together with a set of consistent events which may link the current position to future positions according to clearly defined policy objectives.
5. Paths will be established to determine how the policy scenarios can be attained, to establish the range of actions available, and when decisions have to be made.
6. The scenarios will be tested with experts from a wide range of experiences and interests to establish whether the actions are feasible or desirable, and to determine when actions should be taken.
7. The synthesis and assessment will cover EU countries and those in the wider Europe, including the CEEC and CIS countries.
