Obiettivo
The project aim is to develop tools and equipment necessary to improve performance and make the remote-operated subsea vehicles more competitive.
The study enabled all the conditions of submarine remote-control operation to be established and solutions proposed to improve the mechanical tools and automatisation of this activity. The proposed solutions cover critical engineering and technology:
- sea handling systems.
- autonomy and manipulation.
- automatic steering of the vehicle.
Profitable applications of this study are in the field of submarine oil production in areas of diverless submarine operations.
The project comprises four phases:
- phase a: system and equipment design
- phase b: developing of specific equipment
- phase c: system integration
- phase d: sea trial.
